Joining Dodgeville UMC as a member and confirming your Christian faith, is a commitment.  Once per year, we hold a membership class, in conjunction with the confirmation class, called "Essential Transformation."  Those individuals wishing to join us as members will be required to attend this class.

This class starts with an introduction to Bible, and what it means to be a Christian.  But at the heart of the program, it helps you find what your spiritual gifts are, and how they could be best suited to allow you to find the type of ministry God is calling you to.

We realize that when you are doing a ministry meant for you, one that suits your unique gifts; rather than getting burned out, you become energized! 

It is our goal with this process to prevent stagnant "church burnout." Everyone is welcome to attend our worship services, however by attending this class, and joining Dodgeville UMC, you make a public statement that you are taking your faith to the next level.

The best way to know if this is the congregation for you is to worship with us for several weeks. This, more than anything else, will help you become aware of our congregation’s life, personality and ministry. When you feel you are ready to unite with our congregation, or if you find you have specific questions you would like answered, please don't hesitate to contact the pastor.  He will be happy to meet with you to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
