Over 90 kids from the Dodgeville Area Learning
the love of Jesus in a Fun, Exciting Way!

A child climbing a rock faceCAMP E.D.G.E. Vacation Bible School 2009 took the children to an extreme adventure camp where they Experienced and Discovered God Everywhere! CAMP E.D.G.E. VBS was not your typical stroll through the woods. It was an action-packed, adrenaline-filled expedition that taught kids their strength and might come from God. Through rockin' contemporary music, larger-than-life recreation games, mind-boggling science activities, extreme sports videos, and cool, challenging crafts, kids from all over the community learned to live on the E.D.G.E. in their faith.

VBS 2009 Daily E.D.G.E. Pledges:

  • God is with me. I will stay close to God.
  • God guides me. I will follow.
  • God teaches me. I will learn.
  • God loves me. I will love God and others.
  • God sends me. I will go.

Missions

We do not charge for our vacation bible school program, nor do we rely on dedicated donations to fund it.  It is our philosophy that this life-enriching time for kids be accessible to all.

While we collect donations throughout the program, no donations received from the week-long VBS or the closing program stay in-house.  This year, we split proceeds between two missions:  Books for orphans in India (through Interhope) and the local Dodgeville homeless shelter.  In total, we received over $600 throughout the week, which was split equally for these ministries.

Care for some pie?

Throughout the week, donations were placed in containers with the name of one of the VBS leaders, with the highest three to receive a pie in the face at the closing program.  The winners of the pie in the face were Allie Crowe, Quinten Puckett, and "Blaze" (Pastor Rom).  Of course, pics are in the photo gallery below.
