The Prayer Ministry Team consists of a group of individuals organizing prayer times, and communication of prayer needs throughout the congregation.  There are two main opportunities in this ministry, the Prayer Chain and the Weekly Prayer Group.

The coordinator is Charlene Bennett, Pastor of Visitation.

Prayer Chain

This phone ministry was initiated by Marge Harr and has been continued under the direction of Clarice Brewer.

Prayer requests are directed to Clarice. She then calls the first person on each of three lists (prayer chains) as well as Pastor Rom.

Each of these persons then calls the next person on their given list.

In this way, prayers go up for each request from at least 19 individuals.

This is Clarice's special ministry and testifies to the fact that even persons confined to their home have a gift and a purpose in God's work.

Weekly Prayer Group

This group has been in existence for approximately 3 years and currently meets at 10:00 A.M. every Thursday in the church library to pray for special requests along with prayers for our Pastor, our Church and our world.

While we are currently following the ACTS formula for prayer (Adoration, Worship, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplication), we are flexible.

We are seriously considering an exploration of our methods and our motives, so that we can be more effective in our intercession and truly experience the promises of Jesus - that "Where 2 or 3 are gathered together, there He is in the midst" and that if we ask anything in his name, He will do it.

We incorporate the weekly prayer requests presented in the bulletin and those contributed during worship into our ongoing list of needs and concerns. Confidentiality is a priority.

Requests may be sent to Charlene via email or by calling 935-9230.

Requests may also be written on one of the prayer request forms and placed in the prayer boxes near the entrance to the sanctuary.
