Members of this team take the bread and wine from our Communion table out to those in our church family who are “unwillingly absent” from our church service, those who are home-bound or who live in a nursing home or assisted living community.
After celebrating the sacrament of Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month, four teams of church members head out to extend the Communion table. They lead a brief Communion service and join together in prayer with those that they visit.
Given our current structure we are able to provide Communion to over 20 different people every two months. All Communion servers receive all the materials and training that they need to facilitate the Communion ministry.
