Introduction:

Romans 5:8 (NIV), Paul writes: "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." In other words, GOD HAS LOVED US ... EVEN WHEN WE DIDN'T LOVE HIM! It's no wonder it's been called the crown and pearl of all parables. Charles Dickens described it as the finest short story ever written. 22 verses, holding all the themes of human existence. The characters within represent all of us. And the end of the story demands a response. Folks, today is no exception... As we hear this story of a father's love, ask yourself how much your Heavenly Father loves you.
