Introduction:

Today we start into a brand new worship series that will take us up to the season of Advent. And today’s introduction will help us understand what this series is all about. The new series is entitled: “GRACE ALONE: Hope for the Hopeless!”

So, as we begin, let me first ask you a question. It’s been said ‘when life gets hard, the hardworking work harder’. That seems to be true amongst the people of our particular area. We do our best to do better, to do more, and to do now. The cultural pressure to take care of yourself and ‘make it happen’ by working harder … and smarter … tends to wear us out…

So, here’s the question: Is it any wonder we’re all so tired? If I’m not mistaken, we’re probably all in need of some relief! And that’s what this worship series is all about. And God knows what we need. Do you believe that?
