Introduction:

Memorial Day weekend is a very special time set aside to honor and remember those who have served our country bravely--many who've given their lives for our freedom. And, yes, we remember both those who served many years ago ... and those who are in service today (several connected with this congregation)...

As a church community, we also remember those who have left this life before us--especially those dear to us whom we have lost in this past year... Those names will be read in honor at the end of this service.

Have you ever taken the time to wonder why this weekend is so special for followers of Christ? Today we're going to talk about the HOPE that God's word gives us as we remember our loved ones ... and look forward to that "˜someday reunion'--together with them again...
