Introduction:

Today, we continue journeying to Jerusalem with Jesus. While Jesus was near Jericho (once again), before actually reaching Jerusalem, he had an interesting encounter with a very important and very successful young man. This young man had some very good questions to ask Jesus. But, at the same time, he had some very wrong assumptions about Jesus and life with God in general. Jesus took the time to teach this young man a thing or two that he really needed to know...

Today, we're going to learn from Jesus, too. We're going to look at some of the assumptions we sometimes have about life with God that aren't exactly kosher either. And, hopefully, we'll choose to continue following Jesus ... even after he teaches us some eternal truths for today...
