Introduction:

Today is the start of a Spiritual Adventure for our congregation. This is not a make-believe adventure--it's a real one. The overall theme is Daring to Dream Again: Overcoming Barriers That Hold You Back. Today's theme is that in order to dare to dream again, you must let God heal your painful past.

Some of us here have hurtful memories of various kinds that have caused us to stop dreaming God's dreams. The Lord wants us to assume new identities. God desires that we envision amazing new possibilities of service because of the healing touch of his Son. Quite possibly, we have some hidden heroes like Gideon here today!
