Introduction:

Last week we started looking at Adam Hamilton's book; The Way: walking in the footsteps of Jesus. We prepared the way with John the Baptist preaching repentance and baptizing. Repentance requires that first we accept that we have sinned and are not following God's plan. Second we have to change, reverse direction, do an about face. And, third we have to make a public commitment to that change and that is baptism.

This week we are going to follow Jesus' footsteps as he starts his public ministry. We will look at some of his travels, his launching off point and in particular his healing ministry.
