Introduction:

Today, we begin a new worship series called "˜Dare to Be Great'. In this series, we're going to be looking at 3 FOUNDATIONAL PASSAGES from scripture, all which Jesus called "˜great.' We're going to look--once again--at The Great Commandment (which we touched on last week); then, we're going to look at The Great Compassion. And finally, we're going to take a deep look at The Great Commission. Honestly now ... doesn't that sound GREAT?
Today, and for the next 4 weeks, we're all going to be taking part in the "Dare to Be Great Challenge," as Jesus himself challenges us to dig deeper in our walk with him--daring to be great like many before us. If we will commit today to be obedient to all Jesus challenges us with in this series, I believe we're going to experience some of the great things God wants to do for us--but even more importantly, through us!
