Introduction:

If you enjoy the comics this is the time of year when Linus waits in his sincere pumpkin patch for "The Great Pumpkin." On television "Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin" is shown. Today our theme is "The Great Pumpkin and the Christian Faith."
Success in the Christian life is not determined by the success we have in this world. We may not feel we are doing anything. We may be frustrated and upset because things aren't going our way.
We may wonder where God is and what God wants us to do. In all of this God is still with us. The Spirit of God is with us.
And all God wants from us is our commitment to do our best where we are, with what we have. That is what we will learn from "The Great Pumpkin and the Christian Faith."
