Introduction:

Today, we're going to go back to the cross again ... as we consider one more phrase Jesus' made from that position ... and on our behalf. One of the reasons we're studying Jesus' final words so closely this season is to get to know him better. And that we will do ... as we get a very close look into his heart today...

As it was with much of Jesus' ministry, today we see him associating with sinners. As a matter of fact, there was one hung on a cross on either side of him, during the time of his crucifixion. How did he relate to them? What does that teach us about Jesus? And what does that teach us about ourselves? That's where we're headed today ... as we continue on in our worship series: Christ on the Cross: Love Personified...
