Introduction:

Today, we’re going to go to a story in the Gospel of Mark where Jesus has a conversation with his disciples about what it means to be a LEADER. And we’re going to begin with an assumption today that we haven’t touched on so far and it is this: If Jesus is someone to be followed, then he must be a leader worth following! But let’s be honest. We don’t usually think of ‘leader’ when we think of Jesus. Religious figure: yes. Rabbi: yes. Messiah: yes.
