Introduction:

Belief in Jesus Christ means the forgiveness of sins. It means the forgiveness of all sins. It might be a little sin like that time you gossiped about someone when you knew you shouldn't have, or it might be that big sin that...you'd prefer not to talk about right now.

Because of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, our sins are forgiven. But there is an element in the process that is often forgotten. Our sins are forgiven, but it's important that we repent of our sin as well. Pastor Jim will talk more about repentance later, but when we repent it means that we truly want to turn away from the sin that we commit.

It means that we are ready to go in a different direction, a direction that leads even more directly to the will and heart of God.
