Introduction:

Doubt. It literally means ... to be uncertain about; consider questionable or unlikely; hesitate to believe. Have you ever been there? ... Have you ever had doubts in your life? ... How about doubting God? Have you ever done that--due to something somebody said ... or how somebody acted ... or just because of a circumstance you happened to be in?

Doubt is something we'll all face at one time or another. The real question is: What will we do with our doubt? Let it fester and destroy? Or deal with it. In today's Bible story, John the Baptist found a way to deal with his doubt. Through him, we can find a way to deal with ours, too ... when life sends doubt our way ... and it will.
