Introduction:![]() Today, we continue in our series about learning to live & love like Jesus--learning more about The Treasure Principle. And how does that go? Let me remind you: "You can't take it with you, but you can send it on ahead." "˜Easy to say, but not so easy to live, I'm guessing... Well, one of the ways we can learn to live out "˜The Treasure Principle' in our lives is to keep our eyes fixed on eternity--to keep before us the reality of eternity and the fact that that's where we're headed... Some of you might remember the old saying, how we refer to some people like this: "They're so heavenly minded that they're of no earthly good!" Now, that's not what we're talking about today! Rather, we're talking about the balanced life Jesus spoke of when he said (John 17:15a & 16, NLT), "I'm not asking you to take them out of the world ... 16 They do not belong to this world any more than I do." In other words, we're to be in the world, but not of the world; there's the balance we're going to be talking about today, as we learn together how to live & love like Jesus, by keeping our eyes fixed on eternity... |
