Introduction:![]() We celebrate Christmas by purchasing gifts for each other. But if it’s Jesus’ birthday, shouldn’t we be giving him the gift? And the best gift we can give Jesus is the gift of ourselves. So, what distracts us from doing that? How can we better love Jesus with our whole self—our heart, soul, strength, and mind? Along with that, what’s on your wish list for Christmas? We all have that list, don’t we? And it usually reveals our priorities. Needless to say, our relationship with God should be our first priority. So, looking honestly at what you’ve wished for, does that list reflect your love for God? Today, folks, we’re going to learn together that … God is jealous. God wants our hearts and our lives. God wants all of us—including our attention. God wants to be first in our lives. So, how’s that going these days, as we do our countdown to Christmas? Is God first in your life? Are you resting in Him? Or are you frantic? Is Christmas just another over-commercialized holiday, or is it truly about embracing God incarnate? And how does God really feel about all of this? |
